33-Year-Old Former Marine Looks to Be an NFL Free-Agent Miracle

Former Marine Brandon Crawford has signed a free-agent contract with the New York Giants. After four years of service and an honorable discharge in 1993, Crawford enrolled at Ball State University in 1996 and played four seasons with the Cardinals.

While most experts think he faces long odds in making the team, Crawford seems grateful for the opportunity. "I look at it as a chance, an opportunity to prove people wrong," he told the New York Post. "There's a lot of doubters out there, a lot of people say 'There's no way that can happen.'"
