Stoner Fantasy Comes to Life

"Man, if we could just hide weed in sodas and then drink it, no one would ever know."

California's Proposition 19 would give local governments the ability to legalize and tax pot sales in their jurisdiction. While the measure may or may not pass when it goes to a vote next month, Colorado's Dixie Elixirs is ready to cash in if weed goes legit.

They've created a drinks line featuring "seven refreshing flavors: lemonade, sweet tea, pink lemonade, strawberry, orange, grape and root beer," along with some high-powered 5-Hour Energy-style shots in watermelon and spearmint flavors. No word on how they're sweetened (cane sugar or high-fructose corn syrup?) or whether they plan to offer diet versions if the business catches on.

Given the Obama administration's incredibly loud opposition to Prop 19, you have to wonder if California's Tea Party voters are going to reflexively vote against anything that man stands for and if that contrariness will be enough to put the measure over the top.
