Something for the old guys: if you watch The Promise, the documentary about making of Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town now playing on HBO, then you'll know something about the drama surrounding the album's recording sessions.
To go along with the Darkness reissue and the movie, Bruce is finally releasing the album's legendary outtakes as a 2-CD set also called The Promise. From today until the release date, you can listen to most of the album streaming now at NPR.
