L.A. Noire (coming in May from Rockstar Games) aims to take the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption gameplay experience to the Los Angeles crime world of the 1950s.
Since the game's in full color, the end result looks a lot more like L.A. Confidential than classic black-and-white noirs like Kiss Me Deadly or The Big Sleep.
New motion-capture technology is supposed to make the characters in L.A. Noire some of the most realistic yet in video games. Check out this trailer that explains the technology behind the game:
