The Call of Duty Upside
Next time your significant other starts hassling you about how much time you devote to Xbox, make sure you let them know about Activision’s Call of Duty Endowment, an initiative designed to assist returning veterans with their transition to civilian careers.
Last week, the Endowment announced a $500,000 grant that will be divided between the USO, AMVETS, Military to Medicine, Student Veterans of America and Veterans Green Jobs. The most recent numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show a 21.9 percent unemployment rate for men and 15.3 percent for women for veterans in the 18–24 age range, so it’s great to see Activision making a real effort to address the problem.
