There was a great cameo by the crew of the USS Midway on last night's American Idol. Turns out that Top Three contestant Jessica Sanchez's dad Gilbert serves in the U.S. Navy and the Idol producers set up a ship visit as part of the Chula Vista, CA native's hometown visit.
UPDATE: Jessica got through to the final round and will face Phillip Phillips in next week's final. If you want to vote for Jessica, watch the show next Tuesday on Fox. The winner will be announced on Wednesday's final program.

It's a little hard to predict if Jessica is headed for next week's final, as most Idol watchers think Phillip Phillips is the man to beat and Joshua Ledet turned in strong performances last night as well.
Check back here tomorrow and see if Jessica makes it through. Steven Tyler just loved last night's performance of Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."
