Incoming: Zero Dark Thirty
Zero Dark Thirty, the hunt for Osama bin Laden movie from Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow, is now scheduled for release on December 19th, too late to help or hurt anyone in the upcoming election.
The trailer is light on specific plot details, so it’s hard to say whether the movie includes any of the leaked secrets that Congressman Peter King is so worried about. The movie features Kyle Chandler from Friday Night Lights, Jennifer Ehle from Contagion, Jessica Chastain from The Help and Harold Perrineau from Lost. Since Act of Valor raised the bar with its depiction of SEAL operations, the pressure’s on for Bigelow to deliver on the action front.
Since we know when and how they get the bad guy, the challenge will be to tell the story in a way that gives credit and honor without compromising security. Not all of the commenters around here enjoyed The Hurt Locker as much as Oscar voters did, so we’re eager to see reactions to the first movie about the biggest military story of the last decade.

Under the Radar is commentary. We don’t report the news; we offer our take on what happened.

Just from her inability to get the colloquialism ” ‘O dark-thirty” right in her title, I have a feeling Bigelow is going to drop another steaming pile on movie goers like Hurt Locker. But… the general public will eat it up as if it were accurate.
I thought the same thing.
Not impressed.… What a bunch of Hollywood hoopla and made up crap
At least the quad eyes were correct
