If you're in the DC area next Wednesday (9/12), we've got some passes to a special advance screening of the new movie End of Watch, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña.

End of Watch was written and directed by David Ayer, who either wrote or directed three of the greatest LAPD bent cop movies ever: Training Day, Dark Blue and Street Kings. End of Watch plays like a payback to all the men and women who helped Ayer research those movies and, while there's a plot that involves Mexican drug cartels, it really focuses on the day-to-day operations and camaraderie of law enforcement and the character of the men and women who serve.

We've got 25 pairs of tickets to the screening. Details and trailer are below. You really want to see this if you get to Georgetown on Wednesday.

Jake's character says he's taking a film class, so there's a lot of handheld HD video in the movie that's supposedly shot by the characters, including a whole lot of scenes where the guys are driving around in the patrol car, talking about life.
