Pin-Ups For Vets 2014 Features Actual Veterans

VeteransDay1

The 2014 Pin-Ups For Vets Calendar is available for pre-order and we’ve got a few images shared by founder and lead model Gina Elise, including the one featuring the male veterans they found through an open casting call.

Jayson Adler (Army), Phillip Gomez (USCG), Alex Minsky (Marines), PJ Walsh (Navy), Chris Crane (USAF) join Gina Elise on the November calendar page (in honor of Veterans Day). This year’s calendar also features Mylee YC, a female Army veteran (and breast cancer survior) and Kelly Serio, a female Navy vet. Returning from 2013 are UFC tonight host Leeann Tweeden and the first female NBA scout Bonnie-Jill Laflin.

What’s the mission here? According to Gina’s website, Pin-Ups for Vets “raises funds for medical equip and program expansion to improve Veterans’ healthcare, enhances quality of life for ill veterans across the U.S. through personal bedside visits to deliver gifts of appreciation, promotes volunteerism at Veterans Hospitals, conducts morale-boosting events for military spouses, and boosts morale for deployed troops through delivery of care packages.”  She adds, “To date, we’ve individually visited with over 5,000 Veterans at their bedside in 40 VA & Military hospitals in 24 states across the US. We have also visited 20 different military bases/reserve centers to deliver gifts of appreciation to our service members. We have also visited our Wounded Warriors at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.”

The calendars are inspired by World War II-era pin-ups  and 2014 marks the 8th year that Gina has released a calendar. All the photograph is by Tim Hunter. Check out more images below.

Other than that Veterans Day group shot, nothing for me as a female vet.….…..
Sad because I would have liked to see a few ‘pin ups’ of my own and I am certain other
    female vets would like same

Sad when you say nothing else for you, the whole things behind the pictures are to raise money and remember the old days of WWII. Not for people to sit and dream over. Please people get your hormones in check and support your fellow soldiers.

I agree. Us women like seeing some male “eye candy” and there are PLENTY of Officers/Enlisted who should be in a calendar!!! Give us women a reason to buy the calendar.
