Bill Fawcett continues his successful How to Lose a War military history series with a fifth book, How to Lose a War at Sea. The book compiles more than 35 essays detailing some of the greatest military disasters in the history of seafaring.

Stories about the Bismark, the Tripoli, Peleliu, the Bay of Pigs, Inchon are included. There are incidents ranging from the end of the Revolutionary War to the Iran-Iraq war in 1980, but the overwhelming emphasis is on battles from the World War II era.

Fawcett is also known in the tabletop gaming community as the founder of Mayfair Games.
