Amy Washburn was a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader while she was studying history at Drexel University. She was also in Army ROTC and became an Army intelligence officer in Afghanistan after college graduation.
She served as part of a special mission to relate to local women in ways that would be culturally inappropriate for male troops. Amy just returned from a second tour there and will be honored Sunday night as a "Hometown Hero" by the Eagles during their game with the Chicago Bears.
