The Urban Armor Gear line of cases protect a lot of devices: you can get one for any model of iPhone 4 or 5, the iPad Air & iPad Mini, Samsung Galaxy III, 4 & 5, Galaxy Note II & 3, and the HTC One (both versions). That lineup covers almost all of the (current) high-end smartphones and the most popular tablets.

Don't let the fake screws fool you: they're for styling purposes only. What you get with the UAG line is a sturdy one-piece case that's flexible enough to allow you to slide your phone in without a huge struggle. It's got the MIL STD 810G 516.6 shock test seal of approval. The case comes with a plastic shield for your front screen and a cloth to wipe down the screen before you apply the shield.

There are several different colors available (blue, gray, white, orange, pink, clear-ish) and each color has a different model name. We tested the "Scout" (a/k/a black) case for an iPhone 5. If you go for the armor case styling, this is a good case for everyday use. It's not going to save you from dropping it off a building or dropping it in a pond, but it should handle most everyday drops to the sidewalk. Plus it's relatively easy to get it on and off if you don't always want to use a protective case.

List price for the phone cases is $34.95 and $49.95 for the iPad cases, but you can find them for as little as $20 if you shop around online.
