Hardcore is an upcoming feature film starring Sharlto Copley (District 9, Maleficent) and directed by Ilya Naishuller, the guy who made that amazing POV music video "Bad Motherf***er" for the band Bad Elbows last year.

The whole thing was shot with a custom camera rig that looks like a reverse version of a View-Master.

The plot: you see the film from the POV of Henry, a newly resurrected cyborg who sets out to save his wife/creator from the clutches of the bad guy and his army over the course of one day in Moscow, Russia. Copley plays Henry's ally and guide. This is the first movie that actually does look like an FPS video game. Can a first-person perspective carry an entire narrative movie? This seems like the best test so far.

Naishuller has set up a Indiegogo campaign to raise $250,000 in post-production funds for the completed movie. Check out the amazing clip below.
