Hyena Road is a Canadian war drama that follows a sniper team in combat with the Taliban in Afghanistan. Written and directed by (and starring) Paul Gross, the film tells the story of marksman Ryan Sanders and his crack-shot team and what happens when they encounter The Ghost, a legendary Afghan freedom fighter forced into seclusion by the Taliban.
Sanders and his team try to enlist the Ghost in their fight against a common enemy. Filmed documentary-style, the film’s loose structure makes it feel a lot less Hollywood than most contemporary war films.
It’s out now on DVD and Digital HD. Check out a clip about the making of the film below.
