Everybody Wants Some!!, Richard Linklater's followup to Boyhood and "spiritual sequel" to Dazed and Confused is out this week on Digital HD. Set on the weekend before a Texas college starts classes in the summer of 1980, the movie follows the new freshman recruits as they try to assimilate into the school's baseball team. There's a pretty solid metaphor here for anyone who's had to integrate into a combat unit.
We've got a bonus clip that features several actors from the film talking about the skills video they made to prove to Linklater that they could handle the baseball parts of the movie.

We'll have a full review of the movie when the Blu-ray and DVD are released on July 12th, but this one is really a lot closer to Boyhood than Dazed. There's an amazing appreciation of how young men bond (since it's set in 1980, it's not so much about women) and how a group of strangers becomes a team.
