See Exclusive Images From the Boston Marathon Bombing Movie 'Patriots Day'

Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg team up for a third time with Patriots Day, a new movie about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the investigation that brought the terrorists to justice. The film premieres in Boston, NYC and LA on December 21st and everywhere else on January 13, 2017 and we've debuting four exclusive images from the movie.


Berg previously directed Wahlberg in Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon and the early response looks like Patriots Day will continue their winning streak.


Wahlberg plays Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders, who joins courageous survivors, first responders and investigators in a race against the clock to hunt down the bombers before they strike again. The cast includes Kevin Bacon as Special Agent Richard Deslauriers, John Goodman as Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, J.K. Simmons as Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese and Michelle Monaghan nurse Carol Saunders, who's also Tommy's wife.


this visceral and unflinching chronicle captures the suspense of one of the most sophisticated manhunts in law enforcement history and celebrates the strength of the people of Boston.
