Tune in to this page tonight at 7pm ET to watch "America Salutes You," a concert recorded in Chicago on November 12, 2016 to honor and raise awareness for veterans, service members and their loved ones. Performers include Cyndi Lauper, Gavin DeGraw, Wanda Jackson, Hoodie Allen, CeCe Winans, Ricky Skaggs, Anthony Kearns and many more.
“We have asked those who serve, past and present, to leave their home and their loved ones to protect our freedoms,” said Debbie Gregory, CEO of MilitaryConnection.com. “After 14 years of war, the number of veterans, including the National Guard and Reservists, with multiple tours of combat duty is the largest in modern American history. We owe them a huge debt, and at the very least, the ‘American Dream’.”
We all owe those who serve and sacrifice a huge debt, and it’s up to all of us to make sure that their healthcare, mental health, housing and education needs are met. This concert is a collective salute to all who have donned our nation’s uniform.
