‘World of Tanks’ Announces a Huge Upgrade

Even though Wargaming​.net just released version 7.5 of its PC-based game World of Tanks, they’re already hyping the new features in development for version 8.0. They’re making a big deal because they’re about to launch a new rendering image that will improve the physics of tank movement along with major upgrades to the rendering of shadows, light and water effects (all the stuff that makes animations look realistic). +Continue Reading

New USS Iowa Museum Gets Help From Online Gaming Site

The battleship USS Iowa has a new role as a memorial and educational museum docked at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, CA. Decommissioned from service in 1990, the ship was refurbished and a dedication ceremony was held at its new home in San Pedro CA on July 4th and the museum is now open to the public.

Getting the ship into museum shape took a lot of political wrangling and some outside cash from corporate sponsors, the most interesting (to us) is online gaming company Wargaming​.net. +Continue Reading
