Barack Does the Beatles

Musician David Barratt is recording the entire Beatles song catalog on ukelele with a series of guest vocalists that has included Wang Chung and a whole lot of singers who aren't famous yet.

When it came time to cut "Let It Be," Barratt decided he wanted to go big time and created a Barack Obama lead vocal by using samples from the President's recorded weekly addresses to painstakingly piece together each word of the song's lyrics. Fortunately, the White House publishes transcripts of each address, so Barratt was able to speed up the project by doing a search for each word as he needed it.
