Marine Wins a Date With Mila
We’re pretty sure that Marine Sgt. Scott Moore isn’t the first guy stationed in Afghanistan to trying posting a YouTube video to get the attention of his favorite girl movie star, but we’re almost certain this is the first time that approach actually worked.
About a month ago, Sgt. Moore ( who’s serving with the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan) posted a video inviting Forgetting Sarah Marshall and That 70s Show star Mila Kunis to be his date to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18th in Greenville, North Carolina. No one paid much attention until Mila and Justin Timberlake did an interview with FOX411 for their new movie Friends With Benefits. Reporter Hollie McKay asked Kunis about the video and Justin stepped in to make it happen:
“Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country,” Timberlake asked Kunis excitedly, before sending out a direct message to Moore. “I’m going to work on this, man. This needs to go down.”
After questioning her publicist if she knew about the invitation, the clearly flattered 27-year-old actress agreed.
“I’ll go, I’ll do it for you,” she said, turning to Timberlake. “Are you going to come?”
“They don’t want me! They want you,” Timberlake responded. “You need to do it for your country.”
Kunis nodded.
“I’ll do it,” she confirmed.
Let’s hope Sgt. Moore has the time of his life and the whole thing doesn’t turn into a real-life version of that old Lucille Ball movie Best Foot Forward:

The ones left in the rear with the gear always have to say something negative when someone comes up. So go back to counting your racks, then then when your done, turn on the Military channel, pop your feet up in your comfy chair and watch what real men do in the military. Old Jar head vets sitting around swapping yarns when the subject came up about Drill Sargents and pushups. One said yeah I remember my Drill Sargent moving his finger up and down and saying,“what you think you are done with your pushups? My finger is not even tired yet.” Then another said his Drill Sargent said, “you know what I am thinking just do it. while he was doing pushups and another vet asked, “So what did you do but your arms on your head and start snoring?” The rest instantaneously yelled, NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo!!!!! and then we all nervously laughed.
Wow…I didn’t know we had Drill Sergeants(notice the spelling) in my beloved Corps. I could have sworn, we had Drill Instructors.

I can’t respond to your USDB comment of the social makeup of who is there, what they did, or what branch.… but I will respond to your BS comment about “… I scored more then (should have read THAN) a 30% on my entrance test so I could do more then (Again should have read THAN) smash stuff…” REALLY?!?! You wanna go down that road?!?! I hate to inform your misguided a$$ that 11B’s carry the highest average entrance exam across all branches!! We don’t need to ..“learn a skill set..” to make us more employable. Wanna know why jackwipe?? Because we are smart enough to go to college for that, we don’t need the Military to teach us a trade because we couldn’t hack it with the civilians!! This 101st Airborne Vet say those Marines who “sounded” on Michael should try using their heads for some thing other than a place to shove food and shoot off their mouths. IF they had a CLUE, they would know Michael goes were he is ordered to go and does what he was told to do.
Being in Combat or not is mostly the luck o the draw,
And depending on the person, it can be considered to be either good or bad luck.
So Marines, try using some logic and common sense.
If you read every post involved in that discussion, you should notice it started with him bashing on how the Marine carries himself, then he responds to a comment by him saying that Marines need babysitting, then following by highlighting statistics of child offenders and Marines populating the correctional facility he’s in. So if anyone’s “sounding” on anyone, it would be him trying to be a smart ass and getting served the repercussions for doing so. Stay out of it, and Jeff Schnell is not a Marine, but in the Army.
A boycott is in order now that she will be standing up that marine. What a shame she opened up her mouth and then crushed a dream of this marine when all she had to do was politely say thank you and decline from the beginning. Now she is just another douchebag that doesn’t deserve to go with any serviceman to the MC-ball. I’m surprised she has to have her publicist or manager or whomever come up with an excuse for her, lame… guess I can disregard her movies from now on…
This morning I saw a lady Marine who is the only Martial Arts instructor ask Justin to the ball. I hope for his sake he says yes!
The reason she has any “time” at all is because this marine and many other servicepersons like him have fought for our great country. Instead of serving in the military she became an actress and now she cannot even give up a few hours for one of our brothers in arms…

Thank you Ms Kunis for accepting to step out with a true American hero. I am an old veteran from a dark period in history, The Vietnam Conflict. I hope Ms Kunis has the absolutely best time of her life and brings her best appearance ever to the Marine Cops Ball. She will rub elbows with our nation’s best. Congratulations to Sgt. Moore for inviting her.

My grandfather was a drill instructor during ww2, I thought it was strange they called him drill sgt. Maybe that’s what he’s talking about gunny.
