Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Getting Close Now

At least one Wall Street analyst thinks Battlefield 3 should enjoy having the marketplace to itself before Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is out on November 8th. Michael Pachter at Wedbush Morgan Securities predicts that MW3 will sell 16 million copies before the end of the year, doubling the 8 million copies that Battlefield will sell in the same period. It's not a football game or an election, though, so we're not sure the media should look at this as some kind of contest. Anyone who can sell 8 million copies of anything these days needs to be congratulated for making something that people want to buy.
